Frequently asked questions

Everything we're usually asked at the booth.

Are your treats safe for all dogs?+

Our treats are made with simple, human-grade ingredients like pumpkin, dog-safe peanut butter, blueberries, oats and carob (a dog-safe chocolate alternative). Every product page lists the full ingredients. If your pup has allergies or a sensitive tummy, check the list or send us a message - we're happy to help you pick.

How fresh are the treats, and how should I store them?+

Everything is baked in small batches to order or for the week's markets - no preservatives. Keep treats in a sealed container in a cool spot for up to 3-4 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.

How do the Bake-at-Home kits work?+

Each kit is a reusable mason jar with all the dry ingredients pre-measured, and the recipe on the tag. You add the fresh bits (usually an egg and some wet ingredients), roll, cut, and bake. Your kitchen will smell incredible.

What is Biothane and why do you use it for leads and collars?+

Biothane is a vegan, waterproof coated webbing that combines the flexibility of leather with serious strength and weather-resistance. It won't absorb water, hold odours, or get grimy - a quick rinse and it looks brand new. Perfect for beach dogs, mud dogs, and everything in between. Each piece is handmade in Canada.

Do you ship? How much does it cost?+

Yes! We ship across Canada at a flat rate, and shipping is free over $75. You can also choose free market pickup at checkout and collect your order at any of our upcoming events.

Can I return something?+

Treats are perishable so we can't restock them, but if anything arrives damaged or your pup gives it two paws down, email us within 14 days and we'll make it right. Unused leads and collars can be returned within 30 days.

Do you do custom or wholesale orders?+

We do! Custom colour combos on leads and collars, event favours, and wholesale for local pet shops. Head to the Wholesale page or drop us a line at info@batdog.ca.

Will you be at a market near me?+
