Baking instructions
Congratulations on grabbing one of our fun Bake-at-Home jars - fun for all the family.
Here you will find detailed instructions on how to prepare and bake treats just the way you like them, along with some helpful hints.
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Step 2
Empty the contents of the jar into a large bowl and mix to combine.
Step 3
Add water to the mixture:
- Small jars (6oz): 4.5 tablespoons
- Large jars (1 pint): 12 tablespoons
- NOTE: Apple and Oats only require the following:
- Small jars (6oz): 3 tablespoons
- Large jars (1 pint): 8 tablespoons
Then mix until it forms a stiff dough. (If the dough does not form into a ball, add a little more water to moisten the ingredients, 1/2 a tablespoon at a time.)
Hint
For better results, wrap the dough in cling film and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Flour your counter top and roll the dough out to be about a 1/2 inch thick.
Hint
Our favourite way to roll the dough out is on a lightly greased silicone baking mat with a greased rolling pin, for an easier clean up.
Step 5
Using your cookie cutter, cut individual treats and place them on a lined baking tray.
Step 6
Re-knead and roll out the remaining dough to make even more!
Hint
Our favourite way to roll the dough out is on a lightly greased silicone baking mat with a greased rolling pin, for an easier clean up.
Step 7
Bake for about 25 minutes, or until hard. Don't forget to flip your treats about half way through. If you prefer a more chewy biscuit, bake for 18-20 minutes.
